If you want to think like a chef, you have to ask yourself why use water when you can use a flavourful broth instead? Watch Cheoff Geoff teach you how to make your pasta taste better by cooking it in a vegetable broth. He teaches you how to make a shrimp and sun-dried tomato pesto pappardelle using the flavourful pasta broth.

When you are developing a recipe and think you can use water, why not substitute it with a flavour agent like tea, coffee, wine or a vegetable broth? So let’s talk pasta. We’ve been brainwashed to cook it just in water and salt. Instead I’m using vegetable broth with fresh rosemary and sun-dried tomatoes. The pasta really picks up the flavour. You’ll never cook pasta the old way again.

This is a quick and east mid-week meal. I’ve cooked marinated shrimps with my sun-dried tomato pesto and used the pasta broth to finish the sauce. Finished with baby arugula, fresh basil and Parmesan cheese this is a treat for your taste buds. Bon Appetit!
